Hi, I’m Tim, founder, and owner of Troyer Post Buildings. I married the love of my life, Crystal, in 2018, and in 2020 we started doing foster care, making us the proud parents of 3 foster children, 2 boys, and 1 girl! My wife and I also enjoy international travel and mission work.
I was raised in a Mennonite family and my father was involved in construction all throughout my childhood, often involving my four brothers and I in the building projects. When I was thirteen, my dad started a portable storage building shop so he could work with and teach us five boys how to work diligently and efficiently.
In 2014, my brothers and I decided to set out on a business venture of our own. Our Dad helped us get started in the pole barn building enterprise. We were excited to work with the farming community having been brought up in a community of small farms and doing some small farming ourselves. From this farming experience, we recognized a farmer’s need for a low-cost, well-built, simple building to store hay and equipment.
In 2016 the demand for these barns was rapidly increasing and we realized that we could sell a lower-priced barn more efficiently if we bought our supplies wholesale and put our own building packages together. I, Tim, started looking into starting a lumber yard and packaging facility and branching into barn sales while my brothers continued leading barn building crews. As the business continued to grow over the next few years, we started looking into the residential and commercial markets as well as the agricultural. Today, God has blessed us richly and the business has grown to include all these markets. We enjoy the variety this brings our way and partner with crews that are willing and able to build many different types and styles of post-frame buildings and pole barn foundations.
My vision for the future of Troyer Post Buildings is to continue to grow and serve the community around us while giving all the glory to God and furthering His kingdom in whatever way we can.
Tim oversees sales and customer relations and is the overall problem solver.
Gabriel runs the daily operations at the lumber yard as well as manages our inventory.
Mark handles customer relations, builds team rapport, and grows the reach of Troyer Post. Mark is an outdoorsman who loves grilling, golfing, and life on the water with his wife and three children.
Matt takes care of everything coming on and off the yard, making us run more efficiently.
Nate is the third Troyer boy and married his lovely wife, Sylvia in 2019. They love to travel together to any new place that they have never been, and Nate is an avid pilot. Nate and Sylvia also enjoy reaching out to young men who need a fresh start. Nate, together with Matt and myself, was part of our original barn building crew that we began in 2014. When I started branching into lumber and barn sales, Nate continued running a crew. Since then, Nate has found lots of odd jobs to do for the business. He runs a crew, supplies equipment for several of the other crews, and is beginning to venture into pouring concrete for barn pads. Nate is great at being a jack-of-all-trades and filling in where needed and we are proud to have him and his wife as part of the team here at Troyer Post Buildings.
Having worked with Troyer Post since 2014, Jonathan serves as an independent contractor. In this role, he ensures the quality of Troyer projects is extremely high and his team is happy, safe, and excited about each build. Jonathan is an avid sports fan who currently resides in Muddy Pond, Tennessee. He is engaged to be married this coming June!
Following a prayer-filled move from California to Tennessee, Robert joined the Troyer Post team five years ago. As a crew leader, he works daily to improve the quality of each project and encourages, supports, and empowers his team along the way. When Robert and his wife (who he met in San Ignacio, Belize) aren’t busy parenting their four children, they spend their time traveling (whispers – or planning the next trip).
Ryan joined the Troyer team five years ago and has been crushing it ever since! He handles the heavy lifting of on-site barn building and is passionate about making each project the best it can be. Ryan lives in Monterey, Tennessee with his wife and the two are expecting their first child in the coming months!
