Tim
Tim is the founder and owner of Troyer Post Buildings. He married his wife, Crystal, in 2018, and in 2020, they started doing foster care. They are the proud parents of three foster children: two boys and one girl! They also enjoy international travel and mission work.
Tim was raised in a Mennonite family, and his father was involved in construction throughout his childhood, often including him and his four brothers in various building projects. When Tim was thirteen, his dad started a portable storage building shop so he could work with and teach his five boys how to work diligently and efficiently.
In 2014, Tim and his brothers decided to set out on a business venture of their own. Their dad helped them get started in the pole barn building enterprise. They were excited to work with the farming community, having been brought up around small farms and doing some small farming themselves. From this experience, they recognized a farmer’s need for a low-cost, well-built, simple building to store hay and equipment.
In 2016, the demand for these barns rapidly increased, and the brothers realized they could sell a lower-priced barn more efficiently if they bought their supplies wholesale and assembled their own building packages. Tim began looking into starting a lumber yard and packaging facility and expanding into barn sales while his brothers continued leading barn-building crews. As the business continued to grow over the next few years, they began exploring residential and commercial markets in addition to agricultural. Today, God has richly blessed them, and the business has grown to include all these markets. They enjoy the variety this brings and partner with crews that are skilled in building many different types and styles of post-frame buildings and pole barn foundations.
Tim’s vision for the future of Troyer Post Buildings is to continue growing and serving the community while giving all glory to God and furthering His kingdom in every way possible.
