The Franklin Barndominium in Crossville, TN

There’s something special about building your very first home, especially when it’s nestled in the rolling hills of the historic Homesteads neighborhood in Crossville, Tennessee! When this homeowner began planning their first home, they envisioned something that would offer modern comfort while honoring the timeless character of the surrounding Homesteads community. With Troyer Post Buildings’ help, that vision became a reality in our beautiful Franklin Barndominium.

Every exterior detail was thoughtfully selected to complement the area’s historic charm. The Harvest Old Country Ledge stone wainscoting adds warmth and character, beautifully tying the home into the architectural style of its neighbors. An inviting earth-toned timber-frame porch, complete with tongue-and-groove decking overhead, creates a welcoming entrance that’s as beautiful as it is timeless.
The homeowner’s choice of a Copper Penny metal roof paired with Ash Grey Crinkle siding brings the entire design together, striking the perfect balance between rustic elegance and modern appeal.
Beyond its beautiful exterior, the Franklin offers a spacious, thoughtfully designed interior and the added convenience of an attached carport, making it a home that’s both practical and inviting.
From the first stages of construction to the finishing touches, it’s been exciting to watch this homeowner’s dream take shape.
